quite possible that this was what was being done.
During my period of observation a small squad of troops
went by led by a Bugler, they simply marched past the wharf and
did not stop there. At the time they were passing nobody was
attempting to enter the whard.
Captain Bloxham who was at my side saw most of what I
have stated and can corroborate the details if necessary.
